Laetitia Casta biography

Spotted by modelling agency scouts at age fifteen whilst sunbathing with her family on a beach in Corsica, Laetitia Casta has gone on to become one of the most photographed models in recent years. A natural beauty, with French and Corsican heritage, Laetitia is proud to have kept her natural appearance and refused to succumb to pressure to lose weight or change her looks. In contrast to waif like models, Laetitia displays a tremendously curvaceous figure which has made her a favourite of lingerie modelling and has also lead to consecutive appearances on the cover of Sports Illustrated swimwear editions. Of her famous attributes, Laetitia comments “I tell people my breasts were made in Normandy from butter and crème fraiche”.
As well as successful contracts with Victoria’s Secret, Guess and L’Oreal, Laetitia is an actress, and has appeared in a string of films, her debut being in Asterix, France’s highest ever budget film in 1999.
Laetitia’s beauty is admired by the public and professionals alike. Considered an inspiration by designer Yves St. Lauren, Laetitia wears YSL creations created by the designer especially for her for public appearances.
Designer Vivienne Westwood sums up the impact that Laetitia’s special brand of beauty brings, remarking “I do not believe in God, but when I see Laetitia I might change my mind”.

Laetitia has one daughter born in 2001 with former boyfriend, photographer Stephane Sednaoui. Her son, with her fiancé Stefano Accorsi Orlando, was born on 21st September 2006.
