Brigitte Bardot biography
Born September 28 1934, Paris, France.
Bardot was, and perhaps still is, known as the sexiest French actress to ever appear on screen. Off screen too, images appeared of Bardot and her friends wearing skimpy bikinis on the shores of St. Tropez, whilst numerous images have since appeared of the young Bardot in nude and topless poses.
Her unique looks found Bardot her first modelling job at age only 15. She appeared in such publications as Paris Elle. Modelling turned to acting and Bardot took her first part in Le Trou Normand, a French production produced in 1952. She went on to appear in over forty productions.
Bardot’s personal life was somewhat troubled at times. She reportedly could not understand being labelled as beautiful, and would find fault with her image. At least two suicide attempts have been reported, although official verification of these is unknown. Bardot has been married four times, and has one child, a son.
Happiness has not eluded Bardot though. Before reaching the age of forty Bardot retired from acting and sought life away from the limelight, which suited her desires in life. Since Bardot has dedicated her life to animal welfare and has started the Foundation Brigitte Bardot to support her cause.
